Following last year, SMC received the “Supplier Excellence” award, which is presented to outstanding suppliers from Applied Materials, Inc. (hereinafter “APPLIED MATERIALS”), one of the world’s leading manufacturer of semiconductor production equipment.
The award in the “Excellence in Sustainability” category was prized in recognition of SMC’s ongoing development of energy-saving products and value-added proposals that contribute to reduce the energy consumption in the semiconductor industry.
Of the approx. 3,000 suppliers, only SMC was selected for this award category. On May 8 (JST), APPLIED MATERIALS executives visited the SMC head office, commemorating the award to SMC President Takada.
